EASTON, Conn. June Ascolese Biondino of Easton died May 2 at home with family at her side. She was 82.
Born Feb. 14, 1930, in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of Ralph and Maria Bencevenga Ascolese. Biondino graduated as a registered nurse from St. Vincent's College in 1950. She worked as an emergency room nurse at St. Vincent's Medical Center.
She was married to the late Dr. Ralph R. Biondino, DDS, and worked most of her career as the office manager of her husband's dental practice in Bridgeport.
Biondino is survived by two daughters, Gay (Craig) Tolmie, of Fairfield, and Lori (Richard) Ginley, of Ohio, and nine grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Joel Biondino.
A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday at St. Patrick Church in Bridgeport. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery in Monroe. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are being handled by the Parente-Lauro Funeral Home in Bridgeport.
