Girl Scout Cookies Anyone?

Girl Scouts from Troop 50861 have been out and about since Election Day, satisfying even the most discerning palettes with their world-famous cookies.

More than 44,000 Girl Scouts across Connecticut are selling cookies this year, under the theme "A Better World ... Inspired by U." For the Girl Scouts, cookie sales mean more than generating revenue. It's an opportunity to connect with people in their community and to work for the betterment of their own neighborhoods.

Many Girl Scouts in Connecticut have used cookie proceeds to cook dinners at homeless shelters, support military troops abroad, plant gardens and make donations to hospitals. Cookies are $4 a box, and this year's flavors include traditional favorites such as Samoas, Thin Mints, Trefoils, Tagalongs, Do-si-dos and Lemon Chalet Cremes, along with the new flavors Thank U Berry Munch and Dulce de Leche.

The Girl Scouts will be selling cookies through this weekend at various locations in Weston and throughout the state. For more information, visit the Girl Scouts of Connecticut website.
