Free Shredding Day Set For Redding Residents

REDDING, Conn. -- The Town of Redding is having a residential paper shredding day Saturday.

The free event is from 9 a.m. to noon at the recycling center, 84 Hopewell Woods Road.

It is only for residents; no businesses or in-home offices allowed. Proof of residency required.

Examples of what will be accepted include newspapers, receipts, bank statements, tax returns, checks and paper medical records (no X-rays). Items with staples and paper clips are OK, but binder clips and file hangers are not. There is a five box limit.
