Easton Kids Consider Career Options

Six professionals will speak to Easton students at a career workshop April 28 at the Easton Public Library.

Easton students in grades 4 and up are invited to hear from a pharmacist, electronic engineer, attorney, child psychologist, farmer and librarian on their careers and the paths they took to get there.

"Our goal is to open their eyes to what kinds of jobs are out there," said Lynn Zaffino, the children and young adult's librarian at the Easton Public Library. "Kids may not stop and think about where their medicine comes from; they probably never would have thought of a pharmacist."

Each speaker will talk for 10 minutes about the skills and education needed for each career and will then take questions. "We want the students to start being exposed and get the information about the different careers and what options there are," said Zaffino.

To register for the event, call the Easton Public Library at 203-261-0134, or sign up the book at the library.
