EASTON, Conn. You can make Halloween decoration and seasonal crafts at the Easton Public Library in the next week. Below is a list of upcoming events at the library, located at 691 Morehouse Road:
Oct. 15: 1:30 p.m.: Story Book Parade: Dress as your favorite story book character. Prizes are awarded for individuals and groups. The parade begins a Samuel Staples Elementary School and ends with fun activities at the library. Preregister at the library in advance or at the school on Oct 15. All ages welcome.
Oct. 16: Teen Read Week: Read an age-appropriate book and tell us about it to be entered into a raffle for a cool prize. Grades 6 & up.
Oct. 17: 4 p.m.: Junior Book Club for grades 3 & 4.This month we are reading "The Lemonade War." Discussion and snacks.
Oct. 18: 10:30 a.m.: Baby & Toddler Be-Bop: Music, movement and fun. Ages 6-36 months.
11:30 a.m.: Preschool Story Time: Stories and fun activities. Ages 3 & up. Drop in.
Oct. 19 10:30 a.m.: Baby & Toddler Be-Bop: Music, movement and fun. Ages 6-36 months.
4 p.m.: Sock Hacky Sack: This hacky sack will provide hours of fun. Registration is required. Grades 3 & up.
6:45 p.m. Leaf Napkin Rings: This fun project will dress up your dining room table. Collect colorful leaves and bring them with you. Registration required. Grades K-2.
Oct. 20 4 p.m.: Halloween Charm Bracelet: Festive and fun Halloween charms are sure to get you in the mood for a spooky Halloween. Registration required. Grades 3 & up.
