Valentine's Day is around the corner, and in honor of the holiday Main Street Connect and The Daily sites want to hear your love stories. On our Close To My Heart page, you can submit a story about your spouse, parent, teacher, friend or even a beloved pet. Write a brief story (no more than 300 words) about the person closest to your heart. Tell us how you met, how long you've known each other, and any other interesting facts about your relationship. Be sure to include photos as well!
We will post these stories on our sites where readers will have to opportunity to read and comment on them. Encourage your friends and family to log on and comment on your story, because the writer of the best story will win $10,000! Nine other finalists will receive $500. Here's the best part: each winner will donate half of their winnings to the local non-profit organization of their choice. The winner will be announced on Valentine's Day.
