WESTPORT, Conn. -- Aaron Tucker was on his way from Bridgeport to Norwalk for a job interview on Wednesday, July 12 when a crash in Westport threw a wrench into those plans.
A car had flipped on Post Road East in Westport near the bus that Tucker, 32, was taking to the job interview. Despite being told that he wouldn't be able to re-board, Tucker jumped off the bus and helped rescue an injured man with the help of three employees of Vautrin Auto Services.

After his act of selflessness, a GoFundMe was set up to help Tucker and his family as he continues to search for a job.
"Aaron is the kind of man who should be celebrated. While others stood around and took video, he jumped into action and helped," the GoFundMe said. It said that he even took the shirt off his back and wrapped it around the injured man's head.
"Aaron, despite not having a father in his life as a child, is dedicated to his son, and wants to make a good life for Aaron Jr and his mother. His voice shines when he talks about his Mickey Mouse loving son," the GoFundMe said.
The GoFundMe campaign raised more than $50,000 for Tucker, who eventually stepped in and asked people to stop giving money.
