Book Sale At Weston Public Library Set For This Weekend

WESTON, Conn. -- For the Friends of the Weston Public Library's book sale this weekend, the library’s Community Room will be filled with more than 5,000 donated books, sorted into 40 categories for children and adults.

The sale will run from Friday, Nov. 1 through Sunday, Nov. 3.

There will be many collectibles, first editions and rare books called “Specials,” including Booth Tarkington’s "Penrod," signed by the author on Sept. 1, 1939, and Maurice Sendak’s "In the Night Kitchen" with dust jacket.

In addition, a generous patron has donated a collection of Playbills in red binders dating from 1960 to 1975 along with individual Playbills for people looking to fill in their missing productions.

CDs and DVDs will also be available. Books will be half-price on Sunday .
