Plenty of apples, pies, pastries and plants will be on hand when the Aspetuck Valley Apple Barn opens its rustic doors for the season Friday, April 15. The apple barn is located at 720 Black Rock Turnpike in Easton.
It always has apple cider, cider donuts, maple syrup, maple candy, jams, jellies, local honey, fruit pies, peanuts, cheeses, eggs and gift items. In the fall, there will be such apple varieties as Honeycrisp, Gravenstein, Ginger Gold, Gala, McIntosh, Empire, Cortland, Yakima, Macoun, Golden Delicious, Red Delicious, Mutsu, Idared, Northern Spi, Fuji and Rome.
