During a visit, Daily Voice found cold but comfortable conditions, sunny skies and perfect ice waiting for skaters young and old. The seasonal outdoor rink hosts skating classes, hockey practices, private parties, open skate and more.
"I've skated here a lot, I think it's great," Liam Farrell of Fairfield, who was skating with friends, told Daily Voice. "This is my favorite rink in the area to come to because of the size. It's not usually crowded, and it's not too expensive - and you can't beat the view."
This is the 19th year overall the rink has been open, but only the second year since it expanded to an official NHL size rink.
