WESTON, Conn. — Farmers’ markets, running and swimming events and great live music and theater are on tap this weekend in Weston, Redding and nearby towns.

Friday July 13

Tangled Vine: 9 p.m. Tangled Vine plays rock music at LA Roue Elayne at Cobb’s Mill Inn. 12 Old Mill Road, Weston.

Saturday July 13

Weston Farmers’ Market: 9 a.m. – noon. Fresh produce in a family-friendly environment at Weston’s favorite farmers’ market.

Greenwich Point Swim: 7:30 a.m. A one-mile swim, co-sponsored by the Greenwich Swim Committee. $50 includes refreshments and a commemorative race T-shirt. Tod’s Point, Shore Road, Greenwich.

Westport Summer Series Road Race: 8 a.m. This week’s race is 3.8 miles. Long Shore Country Club 260 Compo Road South, Westport.

Lightfoot Summer Series 7 mile race: 8 a.m. Brien McMahon High School, 300 Highland Ave., Norwalk.

Mini Mossman Youth Triathlon: 9 a.m. Calf Pature Beach, Norwalk.

Romeo and Juliet: 8 p.m. CT Free Shakespeare presents the classic drama. 1875 Noble Ave., Bridgeport.

Jay Stollman Band: 9 p.m. Vocalist Jay Stollman performs with a full band. La Roue Elayne at Cobb’s Mill Inn, 12 Old Mill Road, Weston.

Ballroom Dance: 7:30-11:30 p.m. St. Francis of Assisi, Norfield Road, Weston.

Sunday July 14

Georgetown Farmers' Market: 10 a.m. Fresh produce from family farms. 4 Old Mill Road, Redding.

Redding Concert on the Green: 6–8 p.m. The Mighty Plough Boys perform Irish rock. Redding town green.

Compo Beach Point to Point Swim: 9:30 a.m. The Westport Weston Family Y’s 34th annual Compo beach swim starts at the cannons and covers a distance of 1 mile. Compo Beach, Westport.

Steve D’Agostino Band: 7–8:30 p.m. Steve D’Agostino performs songs from the great American song book. Levitt Pavilion for the Performing Arts, 40 Jessup Road, Westport.
