Animal Feeding At Earthplace: 11 a.m. Join Earthplace staff in the Animal Hall and Connecticut Birds of Prey exhibit for scheduled feeding times. Free with the price of admission and free for members. Earthplace, 10 Woodside Lane, Westport. Visit the website for more details.

Exhibits of Five Generations of Yankee Ingenuity: The Gault Family and Tracy Sugarman, Citizen-Artist: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. An exhibition of five generations of Yankee families, their toils and struggles and how the businesses have evolved since in remarkable tandem with the town. Vintage photos, documents, tools and artifacts on display. Free. Westport Historical Society, 25 Avery Place, Westport.

Wednesday, Aug. 28

Conservation Quest Exhibit at Earthplace: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. A hands-on, play-filled learning exhibit  featuring experiential activities that help children learn about energy conservation. Free with the price of admission, and free for members. Earthplace, The Nature Discovery Center, 10 Woodside Lane, Westport. 

Thursday, Aug. 29

4th Annual Sunset Paddle to Benefit Earthplace Harbor Watch program: 5 p.m. An evening of sit-on-top kayaking on the Saugatuck River. light dinner and refreshments on the shore during sunset to follow. $45 per person, adults only. Earthplace, The Nature Discovery Center, 10 Woodside Lane, Westport.
