Weston Church Prepares For Annual Community Christmas Tree Bonfire

WESTON, Conn. -- Emmanuel Episcopal Church is preparing for its 11th annual Epiphany Bonfire on Saturday, Jan. 9, at 6 p.m.

The non-denominational gathering offers Weston residents the chance to discard their Christmas trees for charity.

For a donation of $25, residents can bring a Christmas tree to the church until 5 p.m. on Saturday for the bonfire.

For a donation of $35, church volunteers will collect trees from Weston households and bring them to the field north of the church for the event.

All proceeds from the bonfire will benefit the Weston Warm-Up Fund.

The gathering is open to the entire community. Refreshments will be served in the parish hall.

To schedule a Christmas tree pickup, call 203-227-8565 no later than Friday, Jan. 8.

The church is located at 285 Lyons Plain Road.
