The Weston High School PTO fundraising race will be held at Weston High School at 115 School Road in Weston. The race, which is the PTO's largest fundraiser of the year, is open to runners and walkers of all skills and ages.
Advance registration is available for $25 by Friday, May 23. The PTO also sponsors a Kids Fun Run, starting at 8 a.m. on the day of the race at the WHS varsity track. The Fun Run, which costs $10, features races of 100, 400, and 1,600 meters, with ribbons for all participants.
"This year’s 5K will be timed by Super Race Systems, using the latest in disposable electronic chip bibs," representatives said in the release. "The course will also be newly recertified, giving serious runners an excellent opportunity to post a fast, official time. Race organizers have also worked with a number of local sponsors to provide both a physical and a virtual (online) goody bag for participants. Commemorative T-Shirts will be available for the first 550 race registrants."
