Go Trunk-Or-Treating At Samuel Staples Elementary School In Easton

EASTON, Conn. -- The Easton Girl Scouts and Lions Club will hold the annual Trunk-or -Treat and bonfire on Halloween night, Saturday, Oct. 31.

The Trunk or Treat will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Samuel Staples Elementary School back parking lot.

Music and snacks will be provided. Come in costume and finish Halloween night with the bonfire. Hear the story of the “Legend of Sleepy Hollow” as told by Ichabod Crane himself, featuring The Headless Horseman.

Set-up time is 5 p.m. The bonfire will be from 8 to 9 p.m., at the Morehouse fields.

Candy donations will be accepted at the Parks and Recreation office through Oct. 28 or can be brought to the event.

Decorate your car as you like; with themes such as sports, teams, travel locations, animals or general Halloween decorations. (Please, no scary or gruesome decorations.)

Girl Scout Troop 31173 will be available to hand out candy or to take little ones around.

Samuel Staples Elementary School is at 515 Morehouse Road.
