Easton Stages Weekend Filled With Revolutionary War Re-Enactments

EASTON, Conn. -- The Historical Society of Easton and Easton’s Parks and Recreation Department are co-sponsoring a Revolutionary War re-enactment on Saturday and Sunday on the fields of Samuel Staples Elementary School.

The event, featuring over 125 re-enactors, will have military drills, a cavalry demonstration and a surgical demonstration highlighting the treatments and remedies that were available to the army surgeon on the Colonial battlefields. 

There will also be exhibits displaying uniforms, clothing and fashions from the time period. There will be candlelit tours of the camp site, a cannon pyrotechnic demonstration and events for children.

Admission for the event is as follows: both days, $20/adult, $15/child, free/children under 8; one-day tickets are: $15/adult, $10/child, free/children under 8. There will be a $5 parking fee.
