Children of all ages are invited to put their artistic skills to work on merchant's storefront windows to create the spookiest and/or best Halloween-themed painting. The event culminates with a Halloween parade down Main Street.
"What better way to get people in the spooky mood than to have our kids decorate our town," said Matthew Mandell, executive director of the WWCC.
There will be three age groups participating: elementary school, middle school and high school within the categories of Spookiest or Best Halloween Theme. Judging will take place by esteemed members of the our community.
The six winners will get a picture of themselves with their window submitted to the press and receive a $25 gift certificate from one of the participating merchants. Kids can paint independently or in teams.
The Chamber is seeking both sides of the contest– kids and windows – with the goal of surpassing last year's number of stores painted at 22.
