“We so much welcome KMS Partners in helping us bring history and education to our families,” said Dallas Kersey, the Weston Historical Society President. “Our community is steeped in history and we must continue to discover, present, and make it relevant to our families in a regional and global context.”

The Weston Historical Society seeks partners such as KMS Partners to help bring educational programs to the area residents, such as the current Memories of World War II – Celebrating Weston’s Contributions to the War. “In addition to our exhibits and programs, we have an 1841 farm house, a big red barn and carriage barn to maintain. Like every other home in Weston, we have to heat our historic home and property, remove snow in the winter, and mow the grass in the summer,” said Kersey. In addition, the 4-acre property is a community space used by Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, seniors and others.

“We have been very impressed with the historical society’s outreach to the community, and their educational focus in particular,” said David Weber, one of the KMS partners.

KMS Partners at Coldwell Banker, founded in 1999, consists of Sheila Keenan, Laurie Morris, Karen Scott, Susan Seath, Mary Ellen Gallagher, David Weber, and Kim Harizman. KMS Partners has been recognized as Coldwell Banker’s top team in the state of Connecticut for five consecutive years.

The Weston Historical Society is an independent, not-for-profit organization begun in 1961, and has more than 200 members. The society relies solely on donations from individuals, families, the community and foundations to fund its campus, archives and programs.
