The store will celebrate its grand opening with discounts, sips and hors d’ oeuvres. The 1,200-square-foot boutique will offer upscale designer women’s clothing as well as original designs.
“We are so excited to open Scout & Molly's of Westport at the Playhouse Square Shopping Center. We offer unique brands that cover the latest trends but also appeal to diverse tastes and styles. Visiting Scout & Molly’s is meant to be a welcoming and fun experience as much as it is a shopping destination, and we are thrilled to be bringing this to the women of Westport,” said owner Genevieve Bouchard.
Scout & Molly’s, based in Raleigh, NC, launched in 2002 and is the dream of entrepreneur Lisa Kornstein. Like many driven young women, Kornstein has always been intrigued with fashion and clothes but never thought she would one day own her own boutique. Kornstein assumed becoming an entrepreneur was not attainable due to the overwhelming amount of time and resources it takes to start a business from scratch.
Now, through franchising, Scout & Molly’s can become a reality for more entrepreneurs by providing business owners a proven system, real estate assistance, inventory and purchasing control, technology and general retail operations and training.
The Westport store is one of 25 new locations opening in 2016.
