A Fairfield County man was found to have an active court-issued warrant during a traffic stop last week, police reported. An officer saw a vehicle traveling west on Post Road in Darien without a front license plate at about 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 25, the Darien Police Department said. A 51-year-old man is facing charges after police said he was found in possession of a stolen handgun during a traffic stop in Connecticut. Troopers in Hartford County received a report of an erratic vehicle on I-91 southbound near Exit 46 in Enfield at about 1:45 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 2, according to Connecticut State Police. A Connecticut police sergeant has been fired from her job after allegedly making a traffic stop while off-duty in a road-rage type of incident. New Haven Police Chief Karl Jacobson recommended on Friday, Aug. 26, the termination of Sgt. Shayna Kendall after an internal affairs investigation was completed and was found to have violated numerous department policies. More Than 600 Bags Of Heroin Seized During CT Traffic Stop
A traffic stop in Connecticut led to the discovery of more than 600 bags of heroin. Officers in Hartford County reported that the drugs were discovered overnight between Sunday, June 26, and Monday, June 27 in the town of Enfield, near the Massachusetts border. The Enfield Police Department said in addition to the heroin, officers also discovered six grams of cocaine and $2,000 during the traffic stop.
