An infant died shortly after being delivered following a Hampden County shooting just before 1 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 4 in in Holyoke at the intersection of Maple and Sargeant Streets. A pregnant woman was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition. 2 Found Dead In Home In Region A man and a woman were found dead inside a Western Massachusetts home after a call from a relative. The two were found in Springfield around 10:15 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 25 on Maynard Street. According to Ryan Walsh, spokesman for the Springfield Police,  officers responded to a home on Maynard Street for immediate assistance after a relative found the man and woman dead inside the home from apparent gunshot wounds. Hampden County resident Kelvin Cruz-Lopez, age 23, of Chicopee, was killed around 10:30 p.m., Monday, Jan. 3 during a shooting on East Street, said the Hampden County District Attorney's Office. Driver Dies After Rollover Crash In Region A woman has died following a rollover car crash in the region. The 31-year-old woman, who has not been identified, died following the Western Massachusetts crash in West Springfield, on Thursday, Sept. 23. Hampden District Attorney’s Office spokesperson Jim Leydon, said the crash took place on Memorial Avenue when the driver of an SUV struck another vehicle. After hitting the vehicle, the woman lost control of the SUV and hit a guiderail, causing it to roll over and catch fire, he said. Police said speeding is being considered as a factor in the crash.
