2 Pedestrians Struck, Killed By Car In Region Two people have died after they were hit by a car in Western Massachusetts Tuesday evening, Aug. 2, the Northwestern District Attorney's Office reports. The 81-year-old man and 60-year-old woman were killed in the crash that occurred on Northampton Road (Route 10) near the Burger King in Easthampton, the office reports. Both victims lived in Easthampton. The driver of the involved vehicle, a Hadley man, stayed on scene and worked with police. The cause of the accident is under investigation.

CT Man Nabbed For Stabbing After Officer Working Crash Sees It Happen, Police Say A Connecticut man was arrested for allegedly stabbing another man after the incident was witnessed by an officer working a traffic crash, according to police. New Haven County resident Matthew Romans, age 22, of Ansonia, was arrested around 2 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 25, said Lieutenant Patrick Lynch, of the Ansonia Police. According to Lynch, an Anonsia police officer was working a two-car crash on Pershing Avenue in the Burger King parking lot when he witnessed an altercation between Romans and man.
