Police Units Respond To High School In Fairfield County After Threatening Messages

Extra police are on-site at a Fairfield County high school after threatening text messages were shared with administrators.

Monroe Police Lt. Stephen Corrone said the department increased its presence early Tuesday, Nov. 9 at Masuk High School as a precaution during an investigation.

"School and police staff have worked collaboratively to identify the origins of the messages," Corrone said.

The matter is still being investigated, Corrone said and added that investigators believe there is no ongoing threat.
