New York City Mayor Eric Adams has been indicted on federal criminal charges, as first reported by the New York Times on Wednesday, Sept. 25. Federal officials are purportedly investigating whether Adams' 2021 mayoral campaign conspired with the Turkish government — and possibly other entities — for donations, CNBC and Fox News report. Hiker Finds Missing Man Dead In His Truck
A 64-year-old Connecticut man who went missing earlier this week was found dead on Wednesday, Sept. 25. Ronald Lavoie left his Hartford County home in East Windsor around 1 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 23, but did not return, his family told police. A hiker called police on Wednesday morning to report they found a man dead and slumped over in a truck. Police responded to the area around 12:30 p.m. to find Lavoie in his Chevrolet Silverado. Two Connecticut children and their mother are in critical condition at a Fairfield County hospital after they were beaten nearly to death in a domestic violence attack on Wednesday, Sept. 25. A 38-year-old Connecticut man was killed on Tuesday, Sept. 24, after he lost control of his truck on I-91 and crashed, authorities said. Man Killed After Car Veers From I-91 Off Ramp, Crashes Into Tree
A 37-year-old Connecticut man was killed Sunday morning, Sept. 22, after his car careened into a tree along I-91 in Hartford County, police said. Daniel Adam Jeannotte, of Enfield, died around 2:30 a.m. when his vehicle veered off of the Exit 40 off-ramp in Windsor, Connecticut State Police said.
