CT DOT: Bridge Maintenance Spells I-95 Lane Closures In Stratford

STRATFORD, Conn. — Motorists driving on I-95 through Stratford should be prepared to see some brake lights in the coming months.

A nighttime bridge maintenance project will spell lane closures on I-95 in Stratford through June 30.

The state Department of Transportation on Monday announced a nighttime bridge maintenance project that will include lane closures both northbound and southbound through Jue 30.

Work hours will be from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday evenings, weather permitting.

The following bridges will be included in the construction project:

Honeyspot Road Overpass

South Avenue Overpass

Rt. 130, Stratford Avenue Overpass

West Broad Street Overpass

Church Street Overpass

Motorists can expect lane closures northbound and southbound between Exit 30, Surf Avenue, to Exit 32, Linden Avenue, and Exit 33, northbound Rt. 130.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be used to guide motorists through the work zone. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
