Mr. Beinstein was nominated by a number of students, teachers, administrators and parents, each of whom referenced the achievements and improvements in the school’s culture since his 2013 arrival. Western has grown from the 147th ranked middle school in the state to the 66th in 2018, according to CAS. Threat To Middle School In Greenwich Under Investigation Greenwich Police are being very closed about an investigation regarding a threatening message found at Western Middle School. The message, uncovered on Wednesday, was handwritten, but police would not comment on its content only to say the incident was under investigation. "We are investigating the incident," said Lt. John Slusarz. "There was no imminent threat to the school."
