The National Weather Service has released snow totals from this week's winter storm.
Snowfall accumulation impacted areas across New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and New York, with Sussex County, NJ, and Putnam County, NY, seeing the highest totals from Sunday, Dec. 15 into Monday, Dec. 16.

Don't worry; thunderstorms forecast for the weekend won't ruin planned fireworks displays in Fairfield County; they are just moved a day later.
Numerous cities and towns, including Stamford, New Canaan, Fairfield, and Greenwich, announced on Friday, July 5, that they have canceled fireworks scheduled for Saturday, July 6, to Sunday, July 7.

Post-Thanksgiving Storm Strengthens As It Heads Toward Northeast
A coastal storm intensifying in the mid-Atlantic will bring widespread rain with sleet and snow in some interior locations in the Northeast at the tail end of Thanksgiving weekend, affecting travel.
The time frame for the system is late Sunday afternoon, Nov. 26 into the early morning hours of Monday, Nov. 27, according to the National Weather Service.

Rounds Of Storms Knock Out Power In Fairfield County: Communities Most Affected
Rounds of storms, some of which were severe, have caused numerous power outages in Connecticut.
As of around 8:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 13, Eversource reported around 1,800 customers affected, and United Illuminating another 116.
