Winter Weather Advisory For Northern Fairfield County As Snow Approaches FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- A winter weather advisory is in effect for northern Fairfield County until Wednesday afternoon, with 2 to 6 inches of snow expected to hit the area overnight, according to the National Weather Service. The advisory is in effect from midnight to 1 p.m. Wednesday. Total snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches is expected to hit the northern part of the county, with localized amounts of up to 6 inches possible.  The southern part of the county is not expected to get as much snow, with up to 2 inches predicted.
