Police said the two men were hit around 9 p.m. Thursday, July 4 near the intersection of Barnum and East avenues, said Terron Jones, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police. Both men, who were hit in the lower extremities, were taken to Bridgeport Hospital in a private vehicle, Jones said. Jones said one man is listed in critical, but stable condition, and the other man suffered non-life-threatening injuries. No further information was available.
