Former UConn basketball standout Eric Cobb has been arrested in his mother's murder in Florida, officials announced Tuesday, Feb. 11. The 28-year-old former athlete was taken into custody after officers responded to a disturbing scene on 15th Street West in the Mid-Westside area, the sheriff's office said. A former UConn men's basketball player is accused of killing his mother in Florida, authorities said. Eric Cobb, 28, was arrested in the death of 51-year-old Erika Winford, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said on Tuesday, Feb. 11.
