Westchester County Man Wins $3M Lottery Prize A Westchester County resident has claimed a $3 million scratch-off prize. Thomas Lombardo, of Mamaroneck, won a top prize from the X Series: 50X scratch-off game, New York Lottery announced on Friday, Oct. 14. Lombardo received his prize as a single, lump-sum payment of $1,640,520 after required withholdings, the lottery said. The winning ticket was purchased at Stop & Shop, which is located at 1326 Old Post Road in Larchmont, the NY Lottery said.

Stamford Police Launching Parks Enforcement Unit After complaints and concerns from residents about crime taking place in Stamford parks, Mayor David Martin announced Wednesday that the Stamford Police Department is launching a Parks Enforcement Unit.  The specialized unit, led by Capt. Thomas Lombardo will be responsible for the enforcement of state statutes and city rules and regulations in Stamford parks.  As a former Parks and Recreation commissioner with 45 years of experience, Lombardo will be in charge of existing park police and uniform patrol officers. The unit's officers will patrol both on foot as well as in their vehicles.
