Topsy Turvy Thanksgiving Week Now Expected To Bring First Snowfall Of Season
Thanksgiving week has started with the arrival of a cold front that will lead to a drop in temperatures, and it could end with many seeing snowflakes for the first time this season. Rain and showers will end with the passage of the front on Monday morning, Nov. 22, with gradual clearing in the afternoon. Temperatures will also slowly fall during the afternoon as colder air settles in. Between a quarter-inch and a half-inch of rainfall is expected from overnight Sunday into Monday. Storm Watch: Here's Latest On System Bringing Heavy Rain, Damaging Wind Gusts To Region
The first workweek after Thanksgiving will start out as a washout. A storm system will sweep through the area bringing soaking rain, thunderstorms, and possible wind gusts of up to 55 miles per hour in parts of the region that could cause power outages. The storm will arrive Monday morning, Nov. 30, and continue through the early evening. Stormy Start To Thanksgiving Week Will Bring Up To 2 Inches Of Rain, Followed By Gusty Winds
Thanksgiving Week will get off to a stormy start as a frontal system will move through the region bringing heavy rain at times, followed by gusty winds and a drop in temperatures. Sunday, Nov. 22 will be mostly cloudy and cooler with a high temperature in the mid 40s. The storm system will arrive Sunday afternoon, bringing light rain and showers that will linger through the evening and into Monday, Nov. 23. Rain will become heavy at times overnight.
