Storm Knocks Out Power To Over 100,000 In Connecticut: Here Are Communities With Most Outages
A powerful storm packed with damaging winds has knocked out power to more than 100,000 across Connecticut.
As of around 7:45 a.m. Friday, Dec. 23, Eversource is reporting 97,652, with United Illuminating reporting another 3,447.

Woman Also Struck In Crash That Killed Off-Duty Firefighter, CT State Police Now Say
Connecticut State Police say a woman was also struck in a five-vehicle crash that killed a popular off-duty firefighter.
New Haven Firefighter Thomas Mieles, age 27, was driving north on I-91 when his car became disabled in the left lane around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2.
Mieles, of New Haven, who was outside of his car, died when he was hit by an SUV during the crash, said the Connecticut State Police.
On Friday, Nov. 4, state police said a woman, identified as Bianca Devlin, also age 27, of New Haven, was standing near Mieles and was also struck by the SUV and suffered minor injuries…
Man Wins $500,000 CT Lottery Prize
A Connecticut man has claimed a $500,000 lottery prize.
Hartford County resident Christopher Borkowski, of Southington, won the "$500,000 Extravaganza! Second Edition" prize from a ticket purchased at RK Liquor Store, located at 64 South Center St. in Southington, Connecticut Lottery announced on Tuesday, Oct. 18.

39-Year-Old Killed In 2-Vehicle CT Crash
A 39-year-old Connecticut man was killed in a two-vehicle crash on a busy roadway.
David Sanabria, age 39, of Plainville, was killed around 6:20 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 27, in Southington.
According to Lt. Keith Egan of the Southington Police, said officers responded to 279 Queen St., for a report of a collision between a motorcycle and a car.
An investigation has revealed that Sanabria was driving a 2016 Guzzi Moto motorcycle northbound on Queen Street. At the same time, Robert Keating, age 60, of Southington, was driving a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado, southbound on Queen St…
