A high school basketball coach and a player have both been disciplined following an incident during a game in Westchester in which antisemitic remarks were hurled at a team, officials said. Fight Breaks Out, Leading To Lockdown At School In Fairfield County
A fight between several students caused a school to go into a temporary lockdown in Fairfield County. The incident took place in Stamford on Tuesday, April 26 at Cloonan Middle School. In a letter to parents, Principal David Tate wrote that as a result of the fight, police were notified and responded to the campus. Staff members from a Connecticut school district are calling on additional discipline for a magnet school principal who was recently demoted and removed from her position after allegedly using a racial slur. HS Principal Quits After Video Surfaces Of Incident With Student In New Haven
The principal of an area high school abruptly resigned Thursday after a video was posted online earlier in the day that allegedly shows him shoving a student. Morgan Barth led Achievement First Amistad High School in New Haven since 2016. The video was obtained by the New Haven Independent, which said it was from an incident in the fall in which the student was trying to leave a meeting in his office about an earlier altercation.
