The Fairfield County crash happened on Saturday, Nov. 25 in Westport, according to the town’s police department. At approximately 8:15 p.m. that day, Alexandra Hamer, age 21, of Westport, was involved in the incident on Saugatuck Avenue near I-95, police said. Though she fled the scene, an investigator was able to obtain dashcam footage of the crash, which allegedly confirmed that she was the perpetrator. Officers from the Westport Police Department received reports at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 17, from drivers near the intersection of Treadwell Avenue and Saugatuck Avenue of a motorist that was stopped in the middle of the roadway. Stuck Tractor-Trailer Leads To Road Closures In Westport A busy area road was temporarily shut down on Sunday night when a tractor-trailer got stuck in the roadway. The tractor-trailer was making a turn onto Saugatuck Avenue off of Sunrise Road in Westport at approximately 7:30 p.m., when the driver got stuck, leading to a temporary road closure as crews unloaded the cargo from the back of the truck. There were no injuries reported, and no other vehicles were involved in the incident. The road was reopened to traffic shortly thereafter

Know Her? Loose Dog Found In Westport Police in Westport are seeking the community’s assistance as they hope to reunite a dog, believed to be missing from Norwalk, with her family. The Westport Police Department issued an alert this week when a gray and white poodle and terrier mix was found outside a Saugatuck Avenue home, near the busy roadway. Police said that the dog was wearing a pink collar and her coat was very dirty, with debris and leaves caught in it. Men From Stamford & Norwalk Busted With Loaded Gun, Drugs In Westport WESTPORT, Conn. — A Stamford man and a Norwalk man were arrested after a motor vehicle stop in Westport after a police K9 found a loaded gun and drugs in the car, police said. At 2:45 p.m. Thursday, Officer Kevin Smith spotted a car with an improperly displayed license plate that was registered to a different motor vehicle, police said.  When Smith stopped the car on Saugatuck Avenue near Duck Pond Road, he detected the odor of marijuana coming from inside, police said.  A Norwalk Police K9 unit was brought to the scene to search the vehicle, police said.  K-9 Kai indicated on the center …
