Driver Was On Drugs During Fatal Crash That Killed Fairfield County Mother, 2 Kids: Police
Authorities said a Connecticut man was on drugs and nodding off when he lost control of a fully loaded commercial truck and crashed into a car earlier this year, killing a woman and two young children.
New Haven County resident William Kundert, age 42, of Oxford, was arrested and charged with multiple felonies in the Feb. 4 crash in Beacon Falls, Connecticut State Police said.
Riquelme Alves Brito, 3, Laura Alves Brito, 6, and their mother Andreas De Brito-Alves, age 26, of Bridgeport, were killed in the crash, police said.

Teen Dies After Jumping Out Of Stolen Vehicle, Into CT Reservoir, Police Say
A Connecticut teen who was allegedly in a stolen vehicle drowned after running from police and jumping into a nearby reservoir.
The incident took place in New Haven County around 12:15 p.m., Tuesday, March 28 on Grilleytown Road in Waterbury.
A Waterbury officer was patrolling the area of Grilleytown Road when he came upon an abandoned stolen vehicle out of Millertown, New York, said Lt. Ryan Bessette of the Waterbury Police.

1 Dead, 1 Wounded In Double Waterbury Shooting, Police Say
One man was found dead and another wounded when police responded to a shooting call in Connecticut.
The incident took place in New Haven County around 8:38 p.m., Monday, Dec. 26 on Walnut Street in Waterbury.
Waterbury police responded to 264 Walnut St., for shots fired call and found two men, each with gunshot wounds, said Lt. Ryan Bessette, of the Waterbury Police.
One of the victims was pronounced dead on the scene, the other victim was transported to Saint Mary’s Hospital for treatment and evaluation of injuries, Bessette said.

CT Man, Age 28, Killed In Single-Vehicle Crash, Driver Critical
A 28-year-old Connecticut was killed in a single-vehicle crash that left the driver in critical condition.
The crash took place in New Haven County around 8:15 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 13 in Waterbury, in the area of 909 East Main St.
When police responded to the report of a collision they located a vehicle that struck a wall in a private parking lot, said Lt. Ryan Bessette, of the Waterbury Police.

A Connecticut man will be charged with the murder of his wife after she was found lying dead on a city street, a victim of domestic violence, police said.
The incident took place in New Haven County around 10:20 a.m., Tuesday, April 26 in Waterbury on Willow Street.
The victim, identified as Moesha Panton, was found when Waterbury police responded to an assault complaint in the area of Willow Street at Roseland Avenue, said Lt. Ryan Bessette, of the Waterbury Police.

Man Struck, Killed By Two Cars On I-84, CT State Police Say
Connecticut State Police are seeking witnesses to a fatal crash on I-84 that left a 52-year-old man dead.
It took place in New Haven County around 11:40 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 29, on the highway in Southbury, state police said.

CT State Police Release ID Of 14-Year-Old Victim In Fatal Shooting
Connecticut State Police have identified a 14-year-old boy who was shot in the back of the head and killed.
On Monday, Oct. 25, around 3:30 a.m., the Waterbury Police Department received a report that a juvenile, suffering from a gunshot wound to the back of the head, had been brought to Saint Mary’s Hospital, in Waterbury, said the state police.
The 14-year-old juvenile, identified as New Haven County resident Will Vasquez, of Hamden, was transferred to Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in Harford, with fatal injuries, police said.
