Man Charged With Illegal Racing, Negligent Homicide In Stratford Crash
A 29-year-old man involved in a road race that ended with the death of his passenger has been charged with negligent homicide.
Ronald Patterson, of Bridgeport, was arrested Tuesday in connection with the April 6 crash that left his passenger, Dawaan Edwards, dead, said Stratford Police Capt. Frank Eannotti.
According to Eannotti, Patterson and Aaron Perkins, 24, of Bridgeport, were racing at a high rate of speed on Lordship Boulevard near Access Road when Patterson failed to negotiate a turn in the roadway and lost control of his vehicle.
