Popular CT Restaurant Temporarily Closes After Fire, Owners Say A popular barbecue restaurant in Connecticut has temporarily closed due to fire damage. The owners of Uncle D's Blazin' BBQ in New London County announced the closure in a Facebook post on Thursday, Feb. 10. The eatery is located at 146 West Town St. in Norwich. According to a report from the Norwich Bulletin, authorities said the fire broke out on Wednesday, Feb. 9, and caused serious damage to some of the restaurant's kitchen equipment. The owners did not share a specific date the restaurant is expected to reopen.
