Witnesses Wanted: Scooter Rider Critical After North Haven Crash With SUV, Police Say Police in Connecticut are asking for witnesses to a serious  crash that left a scooter driver in critical condition. The collission occurred around in North Haven around 5 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 6 at the intersection of Quinnipiac Avenue and Montowese Avenue between the scooter and an SUV. Firefighter Dies After Responding To Early Morning Blaze At North Haven House A Connecticut firefighter has died from injuries he suffered responding to a house fire early in the morning. A 46-year-old North Haven firefighter died from injuries he sustained while responding to a blaze at a residence on Quinnipiac Avenue in North Haven on the morning of Monday, Dec. 26, WTNH reported. The firefighter's name has not been released yet, the news outlet reported.  "He was everybody's friend," North Haven Fire Chief Paul Januszewski said at a news conference. Pedestrian Hit, Killed By Vehicle In North Haven A 60-year-old man was hit and killed after getting off a city bus in North Haven. The incident took place around 6:15 a.m. Wednesday after the New Haven resident exited a city bus on Quinnipiac Avenue near Cindy Lane, said the North Haven Police.  While crossing the street on his way to work, a vehicle that was traveling south on Quinnipiac Avenue struck the man.  He was pronounced deceased on scene, police said.
