Employee Accused Of Forging Bids In Fairfield County, Police Say
An employee has been arrested for allegedly changing bids at a parks and recreation department in Fairfield County. William Howard turned himself in to police on Thursday, Feb. 25, and charged with 32 counts of forgery following a three-month investigation into irregularities regarding vendor bids in Norwalk, authorities said. Bridgeport DMV Employee Charged With Stealing $80,000
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- A former employee of the Department of Motor Vehicles office in Bridgeport was arrested after police said she stole $79,000 while working for the DMV by exploiting a loop hole. State police launched an investigation in August after the Bridgeport office's manager discovered a large monetary discrepancy, state police said.
