Nation's Four Top Pizzerias Are All In New England, According To These Rankings
Four New England pizzerias have topped the list in a new ranking of the best pizza joints in the United States.
KOA.com, a website that focuses on information for camping trips and RVing, created a ranking of the top 20 pizza shops.
The site listed Slab, located in Portland, Maine, as its top pizza joint, followed by Al Forno, in Providence, Rhode Island.
Regina Pizza, located in Boston, was ranked third thanks to its thin-crust pies made in a brick oven. The website reported that the eatery uses a recipe that is more than 100 years old.

Fairfield County Eatery Offers Both Italian & Hibachi Favorites
From sushi rolls to pepperoni pizza, a Fairfield County restaurant is offering customers cuisine from around the globe.
East Meets West Pizza & Hibachi Restaurant, also known as Nico's, is located at 175 Main St. in Danbury.
In addition to custom pies and traditional Italian dishes, the menu also includes unique pies such as the "Kung Fu Pizza," made with lobster salad, pineapple, avocado and kabayaki sauce.
The eatery's selection of hibachi dishes includes vegetables, chicken, salmon, filet mignon and more.

A co-owner of Frank Pepe's, ranked No. 1 on Daily Meal's list of the 101 best pizzerias in America each of the last three years, has died.
Gary Bimonte died on Wednesday, April 7.
Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana, which has 12 locations in the Northeast (in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, and Rhode Island), announced his death on the Facebook page of its flagship New Haven location and said the New Haven location would be closed Thursday, April 8.
Neither the circumstances surrounding his death nor his age have been immediately released.

Two Connecticut legislators think the state has the best pizza and are even proposing legislation making it the official state food.
