Woman Nabbed For Making Purchases With Debit Card Stolen At New Canaan Historical Society Event A woman was arrested on a warrant for stealing a debit card during a New Canaan Historical Society event and charging items, police said. Sharon Toscano, 44, of Norwalk, turned herself in to New Canaan Police in connection with the June event, said New Canaan Police Lt. Jason Ferraro. Police Track Down Man, 32, Who Broke Into New Canaan Historical Society A 32-year-old man was busted by police after activating a burglary alarm allegedly breaking into the New Canaan Historical Society, local police announced on Monday. Shortly before 6:30 p.m. on Sunday night, officers from the New Canaan Police Department were dispatched to the Historical Society, where there was a report of a suspect wearing a hat and hoodie who had allegedly broken into the building and activated the alarm.
