G'Day: Enjoy Australia Day At Flinders Lane In Stamford
STAMFORD, Conn. -- You don't have to go down-under to enjoy the tastes of Australia. Friday, Jan. 26 marks National Australia Day and Flinders Lane in Stamford is celebrating with some Aussie favorites. Officially, Australia Day marks the anniversary of the First Fleet of British settlers arriving in Port Jackson Harbour, Sydney in 1788. Unofficially, though, it’s an excuse to party with a gusto that few other nations can match (think Fourth of July, Cinco de Mayo, and Halloween combined).
