Embattled New York Congressman George Santos has been charged with at least one federal crime, CNN reports.
The Republican lawmaker, whose 3rd District represents parts of Nassau County and Queens, is expected to be arraigned on the sealed charge or charges in federal court in Brooklyn on Wednesday, May 10, according to the outlet, which cited three sources familiar with the matter.

A 75-year-old convicted serial killer has been charged with the 1968 murder of a woman on Long Island in the parking lot of a popular mall thanks to DNA technology.
Richard Cottingham, of the South Woods State Prison in Bridgeton, New Jersey, was arraigned virtually on Wednesday, June 22, on a grand jury indictment, charging him with one count of murder, said Nassau County District Attorney Anne Donnelly.

A New York man acting as a broker for individuals looking to buy and sell boats allegedly stole more than $35,000 of the proceeds from the sale of a boat belonging to a client, authorities announced.
In 2019, Nassau County resident Brendan Daly, the owner of All Point Yacht Sales, located in Suffolk County, in Port Jefferson, acted as broker for a boat owner to help facilitate the sale and transfer of his boat for $157,000 to a buyer, according to authorities.
