Bridgeport Woman Admits To Escaping From Federal Custody A Fairfield County woman who was convicted of mailing poison-laced food to federal and military officials has admitted to attempting to escape custody. Bridgeport resident Barbara March, 73, has pleaded guilty in Bridgeport federal court to escape from federal custody, U.S. Attorney John Durham announced. In October 2006, March was sentenced in the District of Columbia to 15 years in prison for mailing baked goods laced with rat poison to Supreme Court justices, FBI officials and military leaders.
