Search On For Suspect After Woman Raped While Walking Home, Stamford Police Say Police are looking for a man who raped a woman who had been walking home and are asking the public for help. Stamford Police Sgt. Jennifer Lynch said a woman in her 20s was raped around 12:30 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 24, while walking home in the area of East Main Street and Lockwood Avenue. The woman, who went to the hospital following the attack, was able to provide police with a basic description of her attacker, Lynch said.
