Tyree Smith was found not guilty by reason of insanity in the 2011 killing of Angel Gonzalez, a homeless man, at an abandoned home, the CT Post reported in 2013. A three-judge panel ruled Smith was insane and should be held in a psychiatric hospital for 60 years. Woman, Juvenile Charged With Destroying Headstone At Bridgeport Cemetery, Police Say A 19-year-old woman and juvenile have been charged with allegedly destroying a headstone at a Bridgeport cemetery.  The incident took place in Bridgeport at the Lakeview Cemetery on Boston Avenue on Sunday, Feb. 26. Through investigative means, Bridgeport Police detectives were able to positively identify the suspects responsible for the crime, said Scott Appleby, director of the Bridgeport Office of Emergency Management. Fairfield County Man Stabbed To Death By Brother Remembered As 'Life Of The Party' A Fairfield County man who was stabbed to death by his brother is being remembered by his family as being the "life of the party." Angel L. Valle III, age 34, of Bridgeport, was killed on Wednesday, Jan. 20, by his brother, 25-year-old Julian Daivon Valle, also of Bridgeport during a domestic dispute, Bridgeport Police said. Valle was a licensed truck driver who loved to hit the road, his obituary said.  Known as “Wont”, Valle expressed his emotions through his artwork. 6-Year-Old Bridgeport Boy Dies Suddenly A 6-year-old boy died suddenly. Christian David-Devon Johnson, of Bridgeport, died in his sleep while staying at his grandfather’s Hamden home, the boy’s family said. Johnson died at Yale-New Haven Hospital on Thursday, Jan. 16. The cause of death has not been determined by the Medical Examiner. Following the child’s death, his family set up a campaign, “Christian’s Credo,” in his memory. The campaign is designed to remind parents to hug their children every day and remind them that they are loved. Gesualdi was born on May 16, 1943, in Stamford to the late Vito and Vera Coco Gesualdi. He was a firefighter with the New Canaan Fire Department for 34 years and was ranked as a Captain of the department. During his retirement, Gesualdi loved to start his mornings with his firehouse family and greeting each day “uptown,” seeing friends and keeping up with the community.
