John Vontobel Of Stamford, Lover Of Motorcycles, Classic Cars, Bowling, Dies At 67
An area landscaper from Stamford whose many passions included rock and vinyl records, classic cars, motorcycles, and bowling, has died.
John M. Vontobel died Thursday, June 6 at age 67.
Born April 9, 1952, he was the son of the late George (Ed) Vontobel and Marion O'Leary. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his brothers Bobby, Ned, Jerry, and Bill.
He was a successful self-employed landscape in and around Stamford.
Vontobel was a collector of vinyl record, a New York Yankees fan, member of the Small Town Hustlers pool team with his son Mike and a regular on bowling …
