16-Year-Old Teen Girl Shot In Head While Passenger In Vehicle, Bridgeport Police Say Police are investigating the shooting of a 16-year-old girl in the head while a passenger in a vehicle in Bridgeport. The shooting took place around 1 a.m., Sunday, Jan. 26, in the area of James Street and Calhoun Avenue, said Scott Appleby, director of Office of Emergency Management for the City of Bridgeport. According to Appleby, patrol officers responded to the scene and located multiple shell casings. 43-Year-Old Man Critically Injured In Hit-Run Bridgeport Crash Police are asking the public for help in finding the driver responsible for slamming into a pedestrian and then fleeing the scene in Bridgeport. The incident took place around 5:49 p.m. Friday on Washington Avenue, just west of the intersection with James Street, said Av Harris, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police. During the incident, a pedestrian was struck and seriously injured by a hit-and-run driver in a black four-door vehicle while crossing Washington Avenue, Harris said.
