Stamford Van Driver Charged In Pedestrian Death Stamford Police have charged a work van driver with second-degree manslaughter in the death of Lynette Wagner, of Fairfield, while she was walking across Elm Street on her way to work in January. George Christiansen, 29, of Stamford, struck Wagner with his van at the corner of Elm Street and North State Street as the Henkel employee and mother of two walked to work, police said. Sgt.
